When Berlin police officer Eric Chase told his family he wanted to become K-9 certified, which meant keeping the dog at their home, his two children, 11 and 13, were ecstatic. His wife, however, was a little hesitant. "She had never had a dog before, they always had cats," Chase said. "The kids were all for it right away but my wife was the hold up."
