Chief Fitzgerald is proud  to  present the  2008  Annual  Report  for  the  Berlin  Police Department.

This report reflects the efforts of personnel and programs within the police department. Each and every individual plays a role and contributes to our mission of service and protection to the community.During 2008, the Police Department increased its staff by the addition of a  canine named Titan, who joined Officer Aimee Krzykowski on patrol.

Two new officers were hired to maintain our staffing levels. New to the rank of Patrol Officer are Jeffrey Simkulak and Douglas Bartolomeo.  The  new  officers  replace  Lt. W. McKone and Captain Larry Schubert, who  retired, and Officer  Michael  Komm,  who is now  a Police Officer  in  Fairfield. Recent promotions within the Police Department include Lieutenant John Klett to Captain, Sergeant Christopher Ciuci to Lieutenant, Sergeant James Gosselin to Lieutenant, Detective Todd Lentini to Sergeant and Officer Ann Marie Haas to Sergeant.

Dispatcher Deanne Doucette was hired to fill a vacancy and she has just completed the training  necessary  to perform  the dispatch  function  at  the Police Department.The Berlin Police Department is committed to working together with the Board of  Education,  our  four  Fire  Departments,  Hunters Ambulance Service and all other town departments in order to provide the best service possible to the community. The complete report can be downloaded by clicking here.
