Welcome to the Berlin Police Department web site. This site is a new initiative to communicate with the community we serve as well as to promote the professional image of the department.

The Berlin Police Department has been serving the residents of Berlin for over 50 years.

The Berlin Police Department blends traditional police services with state of the art technology to maximize service to the public.

Traditional Police Services are provided daily. Officers routinely check businesses throughout the night, visit the schools during the day and respond frequently to phone calls requesting information or help.

State of the art technology is provided to Officers and the department. Patrol cruisers are equipped with mobile computers that provide immediate access to information on wanted persons, stolen cars, license suspension and motor vehicle registration. Images of persons can be accessed to assist with identifying wanted persons.

An electronic fingerprint system in the police department provides an immediate connection with the State Police and the FBI. Positive identification of arrested individuals can be quickly determined.

Mapping of criminal incidents and traffic accidents is provided through the department record management system.
